THE BEVAN’S SETTLE DOWN FOR A WELL DESERVED REST IN THEIR NEW BEAULIEU HOME

There are many reasons why people want to move to a new home. In fact, Strutt and Parker’s new Village Revival Survey has highlighted 12 reasons why people choose to relocate to a new home in a new area. Highlighting the importance of location, over half the respondents said that access to shops or amenities was the main motivation for their move*.

After 18 months of rebuilding and renovating their family home in Good Easter, Essex, David (45) and Selena (41) Bevan have completed and sold their remarkable home, and are now preparing to move into their new four bedroom home at Countryside and L&Q’s Beaulieu development in Chelmsford. Originally looking for another hands-on renovation project, the couple changed their minds after falling in love with the Beaulieu Heath show home and the impressive future plans for community facilities at the development. Parents to Thea (14) and Ella (11) the Bevan’s were attracted to Beaulieu Heath due to its close proximity to the thriving city and all its amenities.

David comments: “Although we were only living six miles from Chelmsford, we were spending a lot of time driving the girls back and forth - to school, their friends’ houses and their after-school activities. We wanted to be based back in Chelmsford to be close to the travel connections, schools, restaurants and bars – everything is based around the city.”

Beaulieu Heath is a collection of outstanding properties, set amid parkland and extensive landscaped spaces, boasting colonial-style architecture that takes inspiration from the area’s rich heritage. From spacious five bedroom family homes splitover three floorsto stylish three and four bedroom houses offering flexible, well-designed space, the development will suit a variety of buyers and their lifestyles.

David continues: “The more we looked at the show home and learnt more about what was going on at Beaulieu, the more it appealed to us and our lifestyle. The plans for the development are very exciting and as people that enjoy projects, it was a great selling point for us.

“The quality of the house was very clear from the start, the specification is a lot higher than what we had seen in other new build homes. When we came across Beaulieu, we spoke with a friend who works in the construction industry and they confirmed that Countryside’s homes are renowned for being a different class in terms of the fittings and fixtures offered.”

David concludes: “The layout of our new home works so well for us as a family. We love the separated lounge and the family area that we can cook and dine in, and spend time together. We are planning on using the dining room as a study as Thea and Ella are very musical, so it will be great for them to have their own room where they can practice and do their school work. The show home was very inspiring and made us think ‘we could definitely do that in our home’, and there’s lots of potential to develop in the future, which is exactly what we were looking for.”

The homes at Beaulieu Heath are situated next to open parklands and close to the new neighbourhood centre and proposed new primary and secondary schools. Leading architects have created the distinctive look, with attractive weatherboarding that characterises the exteriors of the homes. Inside a high quality specification ensures homes are perfectly equipped for family life.

All the new residential areas will be supported by first class amenities that will allow the neighbourhoods to grow and flourish. Two primary schools and a secondary school are planned, as well as sports facilities and community, health and retail amenities, ensuring the development has a vibrant community hub from the outset. A wide network of open spaces will include meadows, recreation areas for dog walking trim paths, as well as community gardens and large parks with play areas, all connected with a network of footpaths, cyclepaths and bridleways.

Investment in transport connections will also be key to the success of Beaulieu – the scheme includes a site for a new railway station on the East Anglian main line, as well as a new relief road connecting Beaulieu to the A12.

Given city status in 2012, Chelmsford is the county town of Essex and its historic centre offers excellent shopping and a vibrant nightlife. Its shopping centres and bustling high street offer all the big name brands, along with a wide choice of pubs, restaurants and wine bars, while the city is also renowned for its excellent schools, including its two top performing grammar schools. From Chelmsford station there are direct services to London Liverpool Street in as little as 35 minutes.

This month a brand new release of properties go on sale at Beaulieu Heath offering three, four and five bedroom homes priced from £450,000 to £900,000. For more information please visit www.beaulieu-heath.co.uk or call the sales team on 01245 597 277.
