Beaulieu is situated to the north east of the city of Chelmsford, in a highly accessible location between the A130 and the A12 (jct.19).

Ideally located on the edge of the city, Beaulieu is perfectly placed to provide both residences and businesses with enhanced connections to Chelmsford, London and the wider area.

Chelmsford is within the London commuter belt, approximately 32 miles north east of London and is a popular commuter base benefiting from good road links enabling easy access to the A12, M11 and M25 motorways. Stansted Airport is just 18 miles away by car via the A130/A120.  A new relief road (Beaulieu Parkway) opened in 2023 providing Beaulieu residents with a quick easy connection to Junction 19 of the A12 and the A130/A120. 

Commuting by train from Beaulieu could not be easier thanks to a brand new railway station. The new Beaulieu Park Station opened in October 2025 providing regular services into Chelmsford City Centre, Stratford and London Liverpool Street. 

A network of footpath/cycleways run throughout Beaulieu connecting the residential areas to the new station and transport connections are further enhanced by a high-quality bus service providing a convenient connection to Beaulieu Park Station, Chelmsford City Centre and beyond.

 

New Train Station

The new Beaulieu Park Station opened in October 2025 making commuting into the capital even quicker and easier. This new Station is the first to be delivered on the East Anglian main line for over 100 years and has been delivered by Countryside and L&Q in partnership with Network Rail, Essex County Council and Chelmsford City Council.  

 

There are 600 car parking spaces, a bus interchange and substantial cycle parking at the station, as well as dedicated pedestrian and cycle routes which connect the Beaulieu Park and Beaulieu residential areas to the new rail station.

New Express Bus Service

Beaulieu residents are now served by two bus services; the C9 and C10. The C9 (previously the 57) is an express bus route for residents making travelling to and from Chelmsford town centre and railway station a great deal easier, with expected journey times from Beaulieu into London Liverpool Street within the hour.  These bus services have been extended along with the C11 service to travel to and from the new Beaulieu Park railway station which opened in October 2025. 

 

Launched with an innovative software which allows passengers to download tickets onto their mobile device, tickets can also be renewed and real time information on expected arrival and departure times is easily accessible. New Road Connections

A new relief road around the outskirts of Beaulieu opened in 2023 providing a more convenient link between the A130 (Essex Regiment Way) and junction 19 of the A12. The new relief road not only benefits those living and working at Beaulieu, but also the wider community, creating a more expedient link connecting the A12 with routes to Braintree, Stansted and the M11.

 

The new relief road also provides the access to the new Beaulieu Park railway station.
