Located in Beaulieu Square, the new-build healthcare centre will operate as a branch surgery of nearby North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre. It is open to the practice’s existing patients as well as new patients wishing to register, which can be done via How to register – North Chelmsford NHS Healthcare Centre.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony, held on Monday 10 November, welcomed elected officials, healthcare leaders, and members of the community to celebrate the launch and take a tour of the new state-of-the-art facility.
The new centre features 13 clinical rooms, two virtual consulting rooms, and a counselling room, providing greater access to clinical appointments with GPs, nurses and pharmacists.
The new facility supports the NHS’s wider aim of bringing care closer to home, reducing the need for hospital visits and expanding access to healthcare in the region. Registered patients will be able to attend Beaulieu Healthcare Centre for medication reviews, blood tests, immunisations, minor wound care and many other healthcare services.
Dr Prasad, Senior GP Partner at North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre, added: “We are so pleased to be able to officially open Beaulieu Healthcare Centre and look forward to welcoming patients at the new facility. Our dedicated, multi-skilled team is passionate about delivering exceptional care for our patients and the new Beaulieu Healthcare Centre will help us do that.
“The additional clinical space will also allow us to recruit more clinical staff and provide more appointments to the growing local community we are here to help. We also have plans to develop a GP training centre to help us train the health professionals of the future. Now the doors are open, we can’t wait to start seeing patients.”

The centre is designed to BREEAM Excellent standards and built to be Net Zero Carbon in Occupation, thanks to solar panels and smart energy systems.
The opening of Beaulieu Healthcare Centre is a key milestone in the development of the Beaulieu neighbourhood, which continues to grow with new homes, schools, and infrastructure including the recently opened Beaulieu Park Railway Station.
