EASTER AT BEAULIEU CELEBRATED WITH THE ANNUAL COMMUNITY SCARECROW TRAIL

To celebrate the Easter weekend at Beaulieu, we hosted a community event for residents to enjoy at our award-winning scheme in Chelmsford.

Beaulieu Estate Management, in partnership with Beaulieu Community Trust and Coffee Squared, ran Beaulieu’s annual scarecrow event for the second year running.

Beaulieu Estate Management set out a ‘Scarecrow Trail’ in the various green spaces around Beaulieu for residents to follow, bringing the community together for the bank holiday.

Beaulieu residents were also encouraged to display a homemade scarecrow outside their homes, artistically extending the route.. Sponsored by Chelmsford Mildmay Rotary Club and judged by Reverend Dan Pierce of St Andrew’s Church in Boreham, those with the most impressive scarecrows were awarded prizes.

Welcoming over 300 families, the event created a vibrant atmosphere, as residents enjoyed exploring the well thought out and creative range of scarecrows dotted around Beaulieu.

On Thursday 28th April, the award ceremony took place at the Beaulieu Community Centre, where Chair of Chelmsford Mildmay Rotary Club, Tom Harper, handed out prizes and we celebrated the tremendous creativity of our community here at Beaulieu.

Martin Payne, Community Engagement Officer at Beaulieu:

“It was fantastic to see so many of our residents and their families taking part and enjoying themselves at Beaulieu’s annual scarecrow event. We are proud of the strong community which has evolved here and it was a great way to celebrate the Easter weekend.”

“A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success and we hope to see everyone and their scarecrows again next year!”
