Beaulieu’s community got together on Saturday, 13th April, to take part in a series of activities making up this year’s Easter Eggs-travaganza.

Among the various events which took place at “The Chase” park and gardens between 1 – 3 pm was a Family Fun Run, organised by Havens Hospices / J’s Hospice. These local charities do vital work providing care and support for children and young adults who suffer from life limiting illnesses, as well as their families. Beaulieu’s residents showed their support by participating in a 1.5 km fun run. All participants received an Easter Egg and a prize was also given for the best fancy dress, which went to Mark Benham for his hilarious chicken costume.

As in previous years, Groundworks East returned to Beaulieu to help residents make planters to take home for their gardens. This next part of the event was carried out in Beaulieu’s Community Centre, where residents were provided with spring flowers to take home and plant.

All attendees are encouraged to share photos of their growing flowers by emailing these to: laurenhull@thelandtrust.org.uk.

St. Francis and the Beaulieu Community Trust delivered another one of the day’s highlights, giving attendees the chance to leverage their creativity with air dry clay. This was used to make a variety of pots, planters and bowls which the residents were also able to take home with them.

Lauren Hull, Beaulieu Estate Manager, comments: “It was delightful to see Beaulieu’s community come together like this for yet another year. The Easter Eggs-travaganza has always been one of our most popular events. It provides the perfect opportunity for residents to get together outdoors and enjoy the beautiful parkland we have here at Beaulieu.”

Coffee Squared, one of the two coffee shops at Beaulieu Square, generously brought cupcakes for decorating, rounding off another successful Easter event at Beaulieu.
